I find it interesting that a majority of the world dislikes George W. Bush because of his foreign policy yet a majority of Americans feel he's making the world a safer place.

Perhaps it's because Americans live in America and generally choose to take in only what the American media offers them. How else can we explain such dramatic swings in the polls from week to week. A few timely, stinging attacks on Kerry from key Republicans during the convention seemed to influence the polls by 5-10 percentage points. Until folks start thinking for themselves, elections will continue to be controlled by the mass media.
